I have used it, with large rotor loops, and it's done well. My cable is over 15 years old now, and in need of replacement, which is no surprise. I do not use coax arms down the tower, I only use one

Two cents worth! I use a old automatic washer tub lad upside down on the ground next to the tower pad. The natural twist in the coax from 75 ft. up helps it coil around the tub in a control fashion.
