Lee, Choice of a tuner depends mostly on what you're trying to tune .. ESPECIALLY on 160m. Remember that an antenna tuner serves only ONE purpose .. to 'match' the impedance at the shack-end of the f

Lee one other thing to keep in mind is how much power you are going to be running... i used a tuner rated at 3KW that had a couple of pieces vaporized at around 1500... i just heard a little zap and

Yes, but an L-network is easily configurable, and if it is dedicated to a particular installation of a particular 160M wire, once you figure out which one you need, you hardwire it and you're done.
