Tashjian Towers (www.tashtowers.com) may be able to help, as they have assumed the Tri-Ex line. My more modern version (mfg. by Paragon, sold through First Call Communications, about 6 years ago) use

I have both of my LM-470s remotely operated. All I did was parallel the existing switch on the tower with an identical remote switch in the shack. It requires paralleling six wires and bringing them

Amen....It's happened to me. Not safe unless there is absolutely positive pull down. I experienced this nightmare at night and saw the tower sectiones come crashing down. Could have lost a limb.....

Someone posted here a while back that some UST crankups not only have positive pull down, but also continuous height readout. I think it was marketed to commercial users who needed to set the antenna

I have to agree with Dick. I can visually observe one of my towers and the cables from my shack window. The other one is 300 feet away and visible through another house window but not from the shack.
