There are ends made for sealing (DX Engineering and others have them). I just put some caulk in the cap and push it on the end of the Phillystran. The caps are about 0.25USD or so a piece. No problem

I used a dab of liquid electrical tape to seal the ends of the Phillystran HPTG-1200 on my new DXU-32. The Phillystran "soaked up" some of the first application so I put on a second coat on each end.
