I have tried various configurations for a rotator coax loop, ranging from a 10ft length of coax hanging in a single loop from the boom, to rg58 wound fairly tight around the mast. It seems the optimu

I use a 3 turn coil of Davis BuryFlex(TM) about 16" to 18" in diameter to get a "large" turning radius laying on the flat top of the 45G . The large diameter puts less bending moment on the coax. The

Paul, With the rotator turned fully in one direction, make a coax loop about one-half turn around the mast/tower top so it does NOT contact the mast/tower top. Then rotate the antenna and the coax wi

Roger, I have some LMR 600 ultra flex that I will need to do a turning loop arrangemet with. I am wondering if it is possible to do a 3 or 4 turn coil that is in a spiral configuration around the mas

I recently rewired a TV van 45' air operated mast. These use a Nycoil coiled nylon hose to hold the many control and coax cables to the mast head (15 cables were in the 1.5" ID Nycoil replaced). Nyco

I had the 400UF as you describe laying on the flat top plate of the 45G for about 5 or 6 years (give or take). It actually had braid showing in one spot and many flat spots. OTOH it had a number of c

I like slipping the flex gas line copper or aluminum tubing. It keeps the UV off the PVC and prevents, to a degree, wear spots on the PVC ... Can be sprayed flat black. of left with the yellow PVC...

I have done this, and can testify that it works very well. If you wind, say, 3 turns around the mast and attach the ends such that it is loose when at the mid-point of travel, then a half-turn in eit
