Here's another dumb question: Does anyone know if a functional radial system can be made using fencing wire mesh, say 4 x 4? If unwelded mesh were used and laid down the length of either 1/8 wave or

I made my own mesh, with a 3 by 3 foot grid of wires. I tried driving a 40 meter vertical against it, and discovered that this mesh size is too coarse, and I still needed radials. I ran them out 25 f

If you have a symmetric installation - a vertical on level ground with no near-by obstacles - the ground currents will be purely radial. Any wire in the circumferential direction is wasted, since no
