Besides DXE, I havent found any other suppliers for Phillystran. Texas Towers doesnt list it anymore either. Thought it would be nice to shop around before buying a mile of it. Any hints? Gary NA6O g

Not much hurts the Kevlar core other than UV, crushing, and very sharp bends. There is "original" Phillystran that can't be terminated with grips as the cover does not adhere to the core. I used 25K#

I recall back maybe 20 years ago that PVRC members put together a group buy of fiberglas guy rod from the manufacturer.  Instead of risking used Phillystran, or paying $2.05 a foot from DXEngineering

I have been using the same Phillystan for decades. Mine was purchased new so I know exactly what model it is and what terminations are acceptable. It seems to tolerate UV very well. John KK9A Keith D

Everybody I know who went with polyrod ended up replacing with Phillystran. My 150 foot Rohn 45G was installed in 1999 with 6700 Phillystran at four points.  I expect it to last at least another 20 y
