There are a couple of things to look for. First, it'll have 7 strands. Next itt has left-hand lay which means the strands wind to the left. And last, the stuff is REAL STIFF. EHS stands for Extra Hi

Steve... I'm quite interested in this too, as I have a roll of new stuff that I think is EHS. "Wind to the left" means what? If viewed from the end, following a strand away from you will go CCW? Or,

The "right hand" versus "left Hand" is the same as with bolts and wood screws. If the guy stock looks like it twists the same way as a common bolt, its NOT EHS. It does not matter which end you look
