It's cheap insurance to replace the guy and you won't be second guessing yourself down the road. Both heat and moisture are enemies of the core material in Phillystran. My other concern would be the

I'm going to echo Jim's sentiment. it certainly should be inspected. If it's been heated enough it can lose temper and galvanizing. Neither are good. Phillystran is fragile to heat and moisture, so,
