There are many sources for crimp-on PL-259s, I understand. And there are more than one connector option for RG-8, RG-213 type coax. So my question for those of you who have been crimping connectors f

Amphenol 83-8SP-RFX are pretty good and I've had very good luck with them. You still solder the center pin, but the outer conductor is a crimp connection that's very strong and electrically satisfact
