Unless you are installing a Moxon on a crankup tower how do you get one mounted? I'm trying to visualize how one could be trammed up a guyed tower. Rick. K2XT ________________________________________
After reading through all of the Mosley discussion have we learned anything about antennas and the owners of them? We can see there is still a lack of consensus as to the value of a few db, for one t
My posting above had paragraphs, and two spaces after each period and looked a lot better than the way it came out. Rick K2XT _______________________________________________ _________________________
Yes, but you are comparing your dipole with the same dipole plus reflector. The example I was referring to was the case of a yagi, consisting of a dipole (plus reflector and director) that MIGHT hav
Tom has a good description of this phenomenon at http://www.w8ji.com/pecipitation_static.htm (Yes, it is spelled wrong on the site) I am experiencing it exactly as he describes, on a 40 m beam that i
Good explanation to add to what Tom wrote. Thanks. The question still remains, however, Can this corona popping damage the receiver? And you provoke and even more serious question now, Is the tower/a
I'll start this thing thing off with an opinion based on my experience doing several things to my TX472 last year. The raising fixture cable is less likely to need attention than the lift cables, but
I have experience with the JK 402 two element 40 meter beam, and looked over the Navassa 5 antenna that Ken had on display in Dayton. I will probably get it to go on a new tower here for remote opera
Tom, N6BT in his book Array of Light, goes to great lengths to specify the parameters associated with gain specs. Good stuff, well known. But then he goes on to claim that his 2 element designs will
4NEC2 files have a .nec extension. So if EZNEC can import them you would be ok. The other way around works (4NEC2 imports .EZ files). Rick K2XT _______________________________________________ ______

I can't imagine building a model, other than a very simple one, without using variables. In 4NEC2 I can change one variable (like height) and every element of a multielement yagi goes to that height.
I have the JK 2 element coil loaded JK yagi with 47 ft elements. Very impressive mechanical construction. The Grande is built massively. There are pictures on jkantennas.com and on the facebook page
have seized after 12 years. Are you sure you don't have a bad bearing in a pulley (sheave)? Rick K2XT _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________
JK Antennas can do it with conventional elements, his mid-tri model. Or Steppir with the trombone elements will give you what you asked for, including 30 meters. Look at the model 18e. Rick K2XT Hell
Do you know the problem is not the pulleys? I have the same tower. 7 pulleys were bad. Motor stalled. Rick K2XT Hi to the group...I was wondering if anyone had a source other than US Tower where to b
Those should never be used in the ground. Very dangerous. Can become missiles if the wire comes loose or hit by a rotary lawn mower. Plus many years from now will rust, be stepped on by barefoot kids
