- you van use catv cable on your antennes buth you have to make 1/4 wave transformer from 60-62ohms coax to the antenna. I'm using mine for beverages reception and it is working ok here. marc on4ma 700

- My experience: Several years a go I put a big plastic pipe (8inch dia) under the house to the towers. There are several coax'es 7/8 in them ,and a lot of controlwires.Those pipes came out at the towe

- Karl, you can not use a 1:1 balun on this antenna!! You need a 4:1 balun.To check swr on the old balun just put a 200 ohm resister on the terminals and check with your analyzer ..shoud gave from 10mh
