Thanks Dan. I removed the dielectric from the tube - the tube was sealed. Certainly moisture could be the cause as it occurred suddenly this winter. I would not call the tube sealed particularly well

Thank you Arne - I like that idea. I suspect that is where my problem is - moisture in the dielectric sleeve of the gamma match. Scott Coat the end of the coax with RTV and allow to dry thoroughly.
