41. [TowerTalk] 75M rotatable dipoles (score: 1)

Jerry, I'd put a 40 at the top and use a sloper or a wire vertical for 80 (if you're interested in DX). Just for grins, I modeled a 80 meter dipole with 1.5 in. dia. elements at 92 ft. (freq 3.8 mhz)

Nate, The Jan issue of CQ CONTEST had an article by Steve, KC2X showing how he used an aluminum pickup truck box for a weather-proof common ground entry point system. Pretty slick way to do it. If yo

Some years ago K2GT had a series of articles in HAM RADIO magazine on the design and construction of his 80M 4SQR. As I recall, the elements were full size, tapered, and made of aluminum tubing. I Th

I agree 100%. My 80M top loaded vertical is "long" in the SSB portion of the band so a single series capacitor yields a 1:1 match at 3790. An L-network (one cap, one coil) gives a 1:1 match at 3510.

You need to be careful here. I had my 40-2CD down last fall for some minor repairs. I had previously done the W6NL/W6QHS mods but had not redrilled the loading coil connections and decided to do this
