I built an 80m DX special dipole. http://1vc.typepad.com/ethergeist/2011/01/a-broadband-contest-antenna-for-80m.html I used the Messi & Paoloni BROAD-PRO 50/C cable instead of RG213 (https://messi.it

Many thanks for the quick answer John. I thought that the coax cables were used as stubs, so only the impedance and velocity factor were important; but if capacitance per meter is also important the

If I understood correctly the antenna, the shorted coax should be ok (15.07' same electrical lenght to have the same inductance), the shortest coax is wrong and must be 4.3' (it should be of the same

5. [TowerTalk] Rain drops noise on Yagi (dipole) (score: 1)

On our contest station we have an old but good KLM 3 element linear loaded Yagi for 40m, 20m high, which works fine except for the high rain drops noise on RX. Normally we have an average noise floor

Many thanks to everybody for all the suggestions. Unfortunately, most of them are what I already known (low antenna on stack, quads and beverages) and I was hoping for a miracolous idea! ;-) We used

Different experience here: we have a 5 elements for 10m over the "noisy" KLM 3 elements for 40m, as you can see on this picture: https://drive.google.com/open?id=11LkAV5VeVCLMMzL60scciRnX1U0B-2Ul Tha
