- I agree with Frank. The Force 12 XR-5 (18' boom) covers all bands 20-10 (including WARC) and I have had great results with it at 62'. Don B W6DRB _______________________________________________ _____

- Most of us are in the same boat with you. I have an older "high end" transceiver.. it's darn good, even on bad days. So here comes the new ICOM 7800 and the Yeasu FTDX-9000.... big buck radios to say

- Actually, the stuff you need to seal cadwelds is made by cadweld and is called "Mold Sealer" part # T-403. It's a heavy putty that doesn't allow molten metal to flow outside the mold. Don B. W6DRB __

- 401m = about 1315 feet 600m = about 1968 feet Simple math a meter is 39.37 inches. 401 x 39.37 = 15,787.37... then divide by 12 gives 1315.61 Don Bozarth W6DRB _______________________________________

- My original control box (5 years old) did not have the calibrate swith. My newest one does... the manuals are identical... so maybe the documenation didn't get updated. surprise, surprise, surprise..

- Nope... page 15 (the scematic) doesn't show the switch... nor does the shot of the rear panel.(fig 12). This is not the calibrate pot on the front, but the NOR/CAL switch on the reear panel. Don B. _
