With a 120 foot tower and beam(s) on top you might have enough top loading that the tower structure appears to long for 1/4 wave 1.8 Mhz resonance. You need to also isolate the 40 foot ABG side conne

The unipole must be tapped at some point to get a proper match. You really need to look at the as X and J, not resonance. You can tap for a high impedance and zero reactance on for 50 ohms and reacta

Glen I'm using a Unipole for almost 4 years; it is a very good antenna. The cage helps to detune the tower during RX, without that my RX antennas just don't work at all. The cage is grounded at the
