I use the loop with a Ham-4 @5' above ground. I use sch 40 pvc to hold it up and the loop is made out of 75 ohm 3/4" hardline. I also have in line an AMECO PT-3, not used often. The loop is @ 60' fro

I've built the amp and to say that the 2n5109 runs "warm" isn't enough, it runs HOT! I now am running 8.5 volts, not 12. No problems with AM stations. I have a heatsink but still too hot at 12 volts.

Does anyone know of a way to find buried radials, short of digging up the backyard? I've tried a dip meter and a field strength meter all to no avail. Want to add more radials between the ones I have
