I eventually manged to fire up the top band gear this morning after its Summer slumbers. I came on around 0430Z and there were a couple of EU stations CQing. I did manage to work N2KW although signal

The band is starting to open at NA dusk. Very good signals in UK from K3ZM up to 589 at around 2200Z last night. I was also hearing FM5BH at same time peaking 569. Getting RBN hits into Ohio at 2230Z

The weather here in the UK has been dreadful with winds of up to 90 mph. My antennas are all lowered down and I imagine that is the case for lots of other ops as well. Enjoy the contest. 73 Richard G

Well I came on for a couple of hours but in all that time I never heard any other G station! Condition were reasonable with 22 NA contacts but mostly East Coast. Two strong Caribbeans especially ZF9C
