Local op AA0MZ told me he was able to work VP2VI last evening on 160M with 100 watts on FT8 ~ 0350 UTC. He loaded up a low 80 meter dipole for transmit and received on a short vertical mast. He noted

I recall around the equinoxes has been good in the past on 160 Meters from the Midwest to VK6. I worked Mike, VK6HD back in the 90's one late September morning near sunrise on 160M CW with 100 watts
