I have to adjust the 'PBT" each and every time I change modes on my Omni 6+ and it does not seem normal to me. Any suggestions for a fix would be appreciated. Ray Husher W5EW ________________________

Any time you change from lsb to usb the passband is reversed, so if you are not dead center on the pbt it will change. My omni 6+ has aloways done this. -- Original Message -- From: <K5lxz@wmconnect.

Mine never did this. If I have the PBT at 12 o'clock, switching back and forth from LSB to USB requires no change of the PBT control. Likewise, CW's normal position in the same. Now, USB and LSB do t

Well, I have only had three Omni VI's, the Plus and the two Option 3's. In each and every one of them I found the sound MUCH more agreeable with the PBT at 11 o'clock for LSB/CW and at 1 o'clock for

Isn't this a simple matter of touching up the alignment of the sideband carrier oscillators? 73, Barry N1EU __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Yahoo! Mess

Basically all this says is "the pass band tuning" alignment need to be done. Yes a setting of 11 o'clock position on LSB and 1 o'clock on USB simply indicates that the alignment is slightly shifted.

I have a 585 Paragon and it is exactly the same. You CAN set the PBT to 12 o'clock and keep it there, but shifting it for USB or LSB as you describe tends to center it audio in the available bandwidt

Hi Guys and Gals, My thoughts on this phenomena is that it is due to the skirts of the filters not passing the received audio below a nominal frequency of probably 300 hZ or so. This would be a norma
