I wrote an article last year on a brush for cleaning SO-239 socket pins that might be too aggressive for cleaning the power connector pins, but maybe there can be a variation on it. Likely McMaster-C

That extra number flickers and looks to be only half as bright as the others . Now I just turned the radio on for a 45 min and the display is fine . John _____________________________________________

I downloaded the manual and studied the display circuit. Its a multiplexed display where the driver puts out the bits for each number in sequence and a digit select line enables the appropriate chip.
