Here's one for you guys. Yesterday the remotes on my Sanyo 32" TV and my Mintek DVD player stopped working. Well, they didn't stop but rather only worked from a foot away from the remote sensors. At
I only see the as a problem if you were actually sending at the time of the problem. There should be no residual RF affect on the ICs. Did you clean the units sensor window also. TTFN Steve / K4AH em
I've had this happen when too much sunlight falls on the TV ir window. I figured the ir in the sunlight overloaded the input sensor. Chuck, KE9UW -- Original message -- 32" TV and my Mintek DVD playe
Yes, I would say it is and it is residual! It's not necessarily Ten-Tec related, however. The same thing happened to me when I routed a balanced 300 ohm line too close to the clothes washing machine.
How is it residual? Please explain. Thanks. TTFN Steve / K4AH email - wwarthog@alltel.net NAQCC # 0623 FPQRP # 1057 FISTS # 11287 QRPARCI # 11999 QRP-L # 555 ARRL Be very, very careful what you put i
Lot's of appliances have solid state circuits (capacitive/inductive) in one form or another that may store RF energy for a time when exposed to strong RF fields. When I ran my balanced line too close
oh, yeah. i cleaned the sensors and put new batteries in the remotes. that made no difference, however. Bob Mauro, KZ2G Via Web Mail _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing lis

Sounds to me like you have some source of infrared spraying your room - perhaps one of the remotes has started to run continuously. I don't think it's an RF problem unless (1) you're watching TV whil
Chuck has the most probable answer. I used to work for a company that made electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps. The higher frequency of the electronic ballast (25 KHz instead of 60 Hz) made the
do have a flurecent shop light in my ham station near my tv. so maybe that is the problem. Bob Mauro, KZ2G Via Web Mail _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@cont
I bet if you unplugged the TV, and plugged it back in, all would be well! The IR receiver is on of course, even when the TV is clicked off. Something got bewildered by the RF and was latched...or out
well, i ran 100 watts again with the blinds wide open, the sun shining in, and my flurecent light on. the tv remotes did not screw up. one friend did say he had the same problem and it his feeling it
Bob, Reference my second email on your problem. The second sentence should have read "..that may store the affects of RF energy for a time..." I hope you were able to resolve your difficulty okay. It
