The Herc ran on 48 volts DC and used a ratchet rotary switch to change bands. Herc II runs on 12 vdc and uses relays to change bands. Both had factory power supplies but obviously you could run the H

Guess I should have changed the subject but anyway, I had a 253 and it was slow and flakey. Tuning a 238 by hand is actually faster and more reliable. You could use up all your memories just on 160 a
