- Which came first the 4-conductor black power cable or the flat 4-conductor ribbon cable? Why the change? Any preference of one over the other? I have a couple of 961s and wonder the best way to pack

- I'm going to take a wild guess. First came the 4-conductor ribbon cable as a carry-over from the earlier power supplies. Next came the thick round jacketed DC power cable. But the last DC cable used

- It was a carry-over from the radio switching the AC for the power supply. It was a relief when they went to the miniscule two-conductor cable in the late 962's. Barry N1EU ___________________________
