Well it's an idle day here and I was just playing with the Omni 6 and found something unusual. Seems to be AM broadcast spurs coupling in through my Beverage receive antenna feeding the aux (receive)

Dunno about Omni 6, but with antenna switches you don't get complete isolation. I had similar spurs which were generated by mixing on my tower. The guy wires had a little corrosion where they contact

Barry, Try putting a manual antenna tuner in line with the RX antenna. You have created a real monster! Now you have to figure out how to get it under control 8-) Good Luck! 73 Jeff aa8ve -- FAQ on W

Use a small, cheap T Network tuner on the Beverage. Using an L net tuner like the TT 238 won't do a bit of good. I've got a few MFJ and TenTec, 100 watt tuners that usually do the trick. These act as

Thanks very much for the flurry of responses I got. Seems that the common wisdom is to reject the BCB interference with a T section tuner or a BCB trap on the Beverage feed. I'm curious though - thes

I don't know about the Omni-6 but in the Corsair II, the aux switch doesn't disconnect the aux antenna when its set for main. It just connects them together. 73, Jerry, K0CQ -- FAQ on WWW: http://www

Come to think of it, a strong signal might well overcome the bias on your diodes. And you still get coupling from all the associated circuitry. Mike N4NT@wireco.net diodes? -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.
