I have gotten my Scout to work again. How I did it was use suggestions from the group about the problem I posted. 1. The Scout is just not going to perform unless it has 13.8 volts DC. As I understan

It should be possible with the LM2950 regulator family to regulate 12 volts internally with only a half volt head room or with a FET circuit I've sketched to regulate with only 50 millivolts of head
