It sounds like you're using an 'original' Orion, not an Orion II. Firmware version 2.06x is for the 'original' Orion (565), so you won't be able to load version 2.044A since it's only for the Orion I

Ron, Do a master reset on your Orion II and then try reloading. I have had that problem with my Jupiter and doing the reset as well as rebooting the computer to be sure it was also "clean" corrected
