The interfaces are nothing more than isolation transformers. You may or may not need one depending on grounding, hum, or RF in the shack issues. I use one from Donners Digital and it works great. I o

As an alternative for RTTY, running in the FSK mode allows for very easy filter manipulation, and no issues with RF on the audio signal. Of course, it requires an external TNC. Works terrific with my

When you say you could not get the radio to transmit . . . Do you mean? 1. The rig did not go into transmit mode or 2. The rig clicked over to transmit but audio would not get to the radio. These are
