I just made my first CW QSO with the Orion where I ran full (100w) power. I noticed that at the beginning of a transmission, the meter would peg as I could hear it hitting the stop. It quickly droppe

Mark, The meter is driven by a D-to-A converter from the Orion CPU, so it's displaying whatever value the computer wants. Hopefully it has something to do with actual power, but you don't know! Also,
