i find that loss of audio interesting. i have one computer controlled keyer in the back socket of my Orion and an MFJ keyer in the front CW. neither has caused even one moment's problem for the Orion

Sounds like you're not using the accessory jack for any keying like I was doing. After I switched my keyer to the key jack I didn't have any problems either. 73, Alan N5NA keyer has firmware ________
