Funny, I don't notice any interaction between main and sub rx volume. The two are independent in my Orion II (2.037j). I never tried it on SSB, though, only on CW. 73, Ray W2RS ______________________

I don't think the main Rx audio gain is being reduced, I think the "Audio" signal to noise ratio is being reduced when you start bumping up the volume on the Sub RX. I use phones when working split a

Lee, Doug, When going split, you have to insure that your RF gain is set correctly for each receiver. Could it be that you have them out of balance for split operation? I just checked as I'm listenin

I've noticed one interaction between the two on Orion v2.059d. Try this: set both left and right headphone outputs to MAIN. Set the main rx audio gain to a comfortable level. Press the SPOT button. N
