If it's new to you, I would suggest you remove the top and bottom cover and make sure all the connectors are firmly seated as they sure can come loose during shipment. Also make sure the logic chips

Denton, when you shut the radio off are you leaving the external P/S on? Think I use to do that way my OMNI 6 a few years back but never ran across a problem like yours, good luck and maybe try a Mas

I never shut the TT power supply off; but turn off the OMNI VI+. That way the memory battery is maintained charged. Don't remember turning off the P.S. in over 3 years, and never had your problem. Ke

My stations power supply is always on. Since I had to tweek the alc and agc pots as output was running about 60 watts max, I reseated all the cabeling on both the bottom and top of the omni. 80 meter
