My Omni VI+ is spot on. I also have an Omni VI stock no Option upgrades. I've noticed on 40 meters that I have to adjust 40 Hz high to be on freq. I've verified that with other radios. On 10.000 I ha

The OCXO is the reference for all bands. As to individual bands, there's a crystal {10 of them total} being one for each band. The crystal oscillator is supposed to be locked to the precision referen

Could it be USB oscillator correctly aligned and LSB oscillator off by 40hz? Did you mean 10.000.040? Barry N1EU _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.

No. 10.000.40 I was in CW mode. Should I compare in USB and LSB? This radio is basically a spare. I like to use it from time to time though. I bought it second hand, was going to return it since it w

Ok. I suppose if the warm up isn't an issue or if I leave the power supply on then the OCXO vs TCXO isn't a big deal. As for the xtal osc board, would that be a cost prohibitive fix or should I just

Boards are basically non-existant for this 20 year old model. As to being "up to spec", my recall is +/- 50 Hz. 73 Bob K4TAX Sent from my iPhone _______________________________________________ TenTec

Mine was about 200 HZ off on all bands when I bought it from a ham. The a meter readings were horrible too. Both were fixed properly when I sent it in to Sevierville. Best regards - Bry Carling _____

One method I've used to check that LSB and USB are receiving the correct frequency is to use a soundcard, receive audio from the radio and your favorite computer program such as FLDIGI, MixW3 or HRD/
