Nathan, I have to echo your statements based upon my experience with the PRO over the past several months. But, I would take minor issue with the notion that the spectrum scope, dual receive, keyers,

I really tried to turn the other cheek and walk away from this one. On eHam.net, the 756PRO was reviewed 54 times with an average rating of 4.5/5. The OMNI VI+ was reviewed 23 times with an average

That may be true, but a Model 564 Omni VI Plus is a better rig than the 563 Omni VI, and Dean's question addressed the "Plus" vs Pro. Cheers, Jim, K4SQR Jim Miller, K4SQR http://www.comteksystems.com

Hi John. I'm a cw op. I'm an intense cw contester and the pro passes the test easily. I participated in the cqww wpx contest nearly two weeks ago and never had any difficulty in copying signals. I'll

OMNI Hi Nate! I've not noticed that with my pair of 400 Hz INRAD's. This has also been beat around the bush, but for contesting as well as general operating I prefer those to a pair each of TT 500's

While the PRO is good, I find that I can work a DX station on the Omni VI+ while I'm trying to get the whistles to blow and the bells to ring on the PRO. In the mean time, with the OMNI, I'm off work

Thats exactly why I have a both a 1.8KHz SSB filter and a 500 Hz CW filter in the high IF on the Omni VI+. It's a killer of a receiver with also a 1.8KHz SSB in the low IF, a 500 Hz and 250Hz CW filt
