- Finally added a 135' wire to my Hustler 6BTV so as to see if I could get onto 160m. Band seems more quiet than 80m--but that could be a number of factors, I guess. One thing I've noticed though is

- When I had my Omni A years ago, 160 was always less sensitive than other bands. I would say what you are hearing is normal. 160 has lots of band noise so being a little less sensitive on that band hu

- Normal, and manual indicates sensitivity is about .3 micro volts on higher bands, and 2 or 3 microvolts on 160 if my rememberer is working. You CAN make 160 more sensitive, but you have to go deeper
