Does anyone know a way to mute the Omni 6+ when in cw receive with an external control line? I just want to use Omni 6+ in receive mode, as an auxiliary receiver tuned to the same frequency as the tr

I am a rookie at this, but this is my best shot, I have just started researching these sorts of devices for an application in my shack...so it seemed coincidentally timely enough. A) Maybe the DX Eng

Thanks for the responses. Carl, I tried this and the problem is that even though the power is set to zero, the Omni 6+ is putting out a very low power signal that I'm hearing interfering with the oth

Greetings all. My Omni VI/O3 has a MUTE jack on the rear panel which will mute the receiver when asserted. According to the manual "Whenever the MUTE line goes to ground, a MUTE RQ signal is...sent t

Thanks but have you actually tried it? My mute jack does NOT mute the receiver when grounded. Thanks for all the responses. Like Rick suggests, I'm going to have to tear into things which isn't going

Barry, I was thinking about this some more. I don't have the schematic here (ok, I could download it I guess). Anyway, once you determine "where" the "T" and "R" signals are generated, either on a Co

Then your Omni VI is broken. Repairing the Omni VI to make the mute input function properly is probably preferable to building a workaround. The mute input may not work because someone has modified
