What would be a good older TT rig suitable for audio-generated digital modes such as AFSK RTTY, PSK, and Olivia (my modes of interest)? Would the Corsair and Corsair II and Omni V be about as far bac

Hi JT, I know I can't do it on my Argosy because of the frequency drift. So I would think any of the frequncy synthesized Ten Tecs would be about as far back as you could go. This does not include di

RTTY is less particular about frequency and fldigi has AFC to follow drifts. I've not noticed the AFC on PSK and so far I've not copied any Olivia. We've been running RTTY with analogue radios for 40

I am using a Corsair II on PSK31 with great success with both the straight radio and the external VFO WITHOUT crystals. All FB and no issues. BTW, you can easily spot if you need to rework the PTO on

I have a different view. I do digital modes on my Corsairs (I and II). After they warm up for a bit, the frequency stability is excellent. I have no drift problem. Have made 100's of Q's this way. 73

I even read about a guy using an old Heath HW-101 for PSK31, after warmup of course. The Ten Tec PTO can be made more stable by tinkering with the temperature compensating cap. They were all individu

My Corsair II's have been excellent on all digital modes. Even ran PSK-31 on an Omni D Series C with no need to tune during a long QSO Dave WA3MKB _______________________________________________ TenT
