Perhaps that is ONLY for the +13.8 v A jack on the back, and if so then that's a MAJOR improvement over how "them other guys" do it, where you have to open the case to replace the fuse ... 73 Billy

This practice goes back a long way. Many manufactures have used the RCA jack for 13.8 volts. I believe Yazoo uses it on their high end 1000 series rigs and Drake used it on the TR-7 series of radios
