Model A had an "analog" display...Non Digital. Model D had a "digital" display Model D had 2 series, B and C. Going from model A to model D series B would require installation of a frequency counter.

There was a Omni-A, Series B made at the same time the Omni-D, Series B came out. Ten-Tec, at the time, also offered a modification kit to make the original Omni-A equivalent to an Omni-A, Series B.
