Allen, I think the 8 pole filter you want is the 2.4(?)KHz model 220. The other item (well documented elsewhere) is that the AC feed from the 225 to the front panel switch can cause hum pickup in the

Al, Yeah, I checked the spec's for the TT 218 (1.8KHz) and TT 220 (2.4KHz) filters, and surprisingly the insertion loss for the 218 is marginally lower (.2 dB) than that of the 220. Since my goal is

Instead of messing with the filters, go find a Ten Tec RF speech clipper. They no longer sell them, but they are still available used. Properly adjusted, they work very well. I used mine to good effe
