Lithium button-cells with solder-tag connectors seem hard to find here, but the ones with no tags are abundant - probably cheaper too! Has anybody tried soldering tags onto these cells? any explosion

Mike, Why don't you get the holder for the button-cell, and make your connections to it. These can be found at places like DigiKey, or Jameco, or ??? , usually for a couple of bucks. No problems with
