It seems my jupiter display is not as bright as it should be. It was this way when I got it and dont have another radio to compare it with but pictures I see online seem to have a much brighter scree

There is an internal contrast adjustment.   Don't know if this will help in your case.  Replacement of the display is the option.  And where to get one......don't have a clue. 73 Bob, K4TAX On 7/19/2

Oh.. forgot to mention that on mine the LCD Reverse menu item is ineffective. No matter how high/low I make the contrast, the ON/OFF of this menu item does nothing. Fernando N2FQ/6 n2fq@sbcglobal.net

Not to monopolize the thread, here is what I found in my Jupiter. The voltage regulator supplies 5V to parallel resistors, then 4.5v to J12. When I put 5V directly to J12, the backlight brittens up a

If you DO try to repair the old display, be sure to keep the orientation of the actual display by marking it. There are no markings on it indicating orientation. Changing out the cables is a nothing
