John, I did own an Icom IC-746 and now own a Jupiter. Compared them side-by-side for about a month. I decided to keep the Jupiter and sell the IC-746 because the Jupiter was much quieter on receive.

I had RF problems with my Jupiter. I had 450 ohm ladder line coming into the shack to the back ot the ten tec 238 tuner. Could not get my D104 mic to work and my SWR/ Power meter was way out of wack

Jeff, thanks for the account, however your RF problem sounds like RF got into the active preamp in the base of the D104 mike NOT the radio necessarily. This is a known problem of the amplified microp
