Most any USB - serial adapter should work with the Orion. They emulate the old-fashioned serial port pretty well. From what I hear, you only run into problems if you are using the serial line in exot

You deserve the patting. Adding the Z3801A to the RX-340 simply removes any guess work. I am still trying to locate a the smaller HP 58540A GPS receiver. Anyone know where to look...other than eBay?
