Hi All, I recently purchased an old Hercules II power amp. I'm running it on a marine deep cycle battery that I got at Walmart (115AmpHour- biggest one they had), with a 15amp charger. The problem is
I think full power is 500 watts so you're doing good on 10m which seems odd. Full power output normally requires 13.8vdc and your battery is a bit lower. Also check for voltage drop on your dc cable.
I recently bought the Hercules along with the Ten Tec supply and have the exact same problem. But in my case the power is low on 20, 12 and 10. I too called Ten Tec and they told me the same thing, s
The TT ps does put out 14vdc at lotsa watts.... 80 + amps.... with big thick fat wires to the amp. Until you provide the volts with amps, I don't expect you'd see the watts. bill my herc II meter is

Hi Jon, That is a strange problem. Generally speaking, you would expect to get more output on the lower bands from a Herc II than on 10. Hard to figure....... I am back from my travels and can probab
The Hercules II is supposed to be supplied with 13.8 VDC. With only a 15 amp charger, that deep cycle battery will only make it up to 13.8 volts many hours after you have drained it with the Hercule
Jon and Tom, I have a Herc II and its companion 9420 power supply. No problems on any bands running the Omni V or Jupiter at about 45 watts. Who did you talk to at Ten-Tec, the service manager or the
Thanks Peg. I will do just that. Tom Jon and Tom, I have a Herc II and its companion 9420 power supply. No problems on any bands running the Omni V or Jupiter at about 45 watts. Who did you talk to a
