I purchased a Heil Studio One for my Jupiter and have had great reviews from QSO?s, but I have noticed I have to keep the mic gain up around 85% to barley kick the ALC, almost 90% if I put on the win

I have found the gain from the Heil Goldline to be marginal for the tentec radios. I run an old tentec model 234 speech processor with just a little processing. The processor works as a great limiter

No worry. I have a Heil also with the 5 element and have the same experience.I run the transmit filter at 2400 but that will depend on your personal voice quality. I get excellent reports with mine..
