I would just buy a plug that mates with the 715 front panel mic jack and wire it to a stereo 1/8 in jack to plug the CM-500 into so your mic audio and bias are handled like on the K3 rear panel jack

All quite right, Geoffrey. I am just surprised that TenTec did not anticipate the more common computer type headsets. A 1/8 inch mono jack on a dynamic set is hardly a common plug to find on headsets

If there is A standard in terms of mics/headsets, it could be argued that it's the Heil Pro Set and YES, it provides a 1/8 mono plug. At least my two Pro Sets bought in the 2000's both are wired with
