I can't speak to the Corsair I, but replacing the 4-pole with the 8-pole SSB filter in the Argosy 525 makes one whale of a difference on CW. (I can't speak to SSB, either). If I owned your Corsair I,

Max I'd recommend that you spring for the 220 filter. Even though it's 2.4 kHz wide, it has a much better shape factor than the stock filter. Keep in mind that the 9 and 6.3 MHz filters are cascaded,

Just curious, will the Corsair II handle the 500hz - 8 pole filter(#217) in the 9MHz front end? Perhaps this would be more advantageous for a serious cw only op than the #220 or 218? 73, Mike, ac5p
