- Hi Danny, Sure is a nice radio. I can always hear stuff that can't be heard with the newer big $$ radios when i do a side by side. Very quiet reciever. I love mine, but... on a busy band it's rough.

- There was an article in QST a number of years back covering how to install a TenTec CW xtal filter in the 540. I need to dig it it and try it on mine. It truly is a sweet receiver with very pleasant
